In this post, I’m sharing my favorite kitchen tools that make cooking, cleaning, and preparing meals easy and enjoyable!
Having the right tools can make any job a lot easier. Especially in the kitchen!
I wanted to share my favorite kitchen tools and appliances that help me cook and prepare meals faster and easier!
My Top 10 Favorite Kitchen Tools
I cook almost every single meal at home – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We live about 30 minutes from town, so it makes it easier to stay home and cook!
We also really enjoy eating simple, homemade, and frugal meals in the comfort of our home.
Since we cook and eat at home so much, having the right tools and appliances can really help make this job easier and more enjoyable.
These are some of my very favorite kitchen tools!
My Top 10 Favorite Kitchen Tools
1. Potato Peeler
If you don’t have a “y” peeler to peel fruit and vegetables, you need one! I have this exact potato peeler and it peels so quickly and only peels off a very thin layer, so you don’t waste much.
Find this potato peeler on Amazon.
2. Olive Oil Dispenser
I love using my olive oil dispenser to quickly add oil to a pan. This dispenser helps add just a drizzle at a time. I keep mine right by the stove!
Find this olive oil dispenser on Amazon.
3. Silicone Baking Mats
These silicone baking mats are amazing! I use them any time I use a cookie sheet pan.
You don’t need to spray the pan at all, just use these mats and food will never stick. And they are super easy to clean!
Just make sure to measure your cookie sheets, so you get the right size baking mat.
Find these silicone baking mats on Amazon.
4. Reusable Silicone Baking Cups
I love to make muffins for the freezer, and these silicone baking cups are so nice to have!
They work great in the freezer, and keep me from buying paper baking cups all the time.
You can even use these for packing lunches, and keeping foods separate.
Find these reusable silicone baking cups on Amazon.
5. My KitchenAid Mixer
I absolutely love my KitchenAid mixer! I keep it sitting out on the counter because it’s so pretty and because I use it all the time.
You can use a mixer for so many things beyond baking – shredded cooked chicken, making mashed potatoes, or mixing up casserole mixes.
I have the classic version, and it does everything I need it to do. There are tons of different options available, though.
Find KitchenAid mixers on Amazon.
6. Electric Can Opener
To be honest, I never thought this was necessary. My husband added it to our wedding registry, and I thought it was a little silly.
But now I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat if it ever broke!
When I make freezer meals, I tend to use A LOT of canned foods and this electric can opener speeds things up so much!
Find this electric can opener on Amazon.
7. My 2 Crock Pots
I have two different size Crock Pots and use them both all the time!
For just the two of us, this small 3 quart CrockPot is perfect for small meals. You can add a smaller amount of food and it doesn’t burn.
And when I make a larger meal, like a beef stew or pork tenderloin, I love to use the 6 quart CrockPot.
Find different size Crock Pots on Amazon.
8. Instant Pot
To be honest, it took me a while to like using the Instant Pot. I wasn’t sure exactly how to use and what to put in it.
Now that I’ve learned how to use it, and found some amazingly easy recipes, I love it!
You can make almost anything in an Instant Pot and there are tons of recipes out there to help you get started!
Find the Instant Pot on Amazon.
9. Air Fryer
I got this air fryer for Christmas and absolutely love it!
We also have a deep fryer that we used to use all the time, but it makes such a mess, uses so much oil, smells up the house, and is hard to clean. I hardly ever use the deep fryer now that we have this air fryer!
The clean up is almost nonexistent, it fries food up great, and has no fryer smell!
This air fryer we have is pretty small, but works great for the 2 of us!
Find this air fryer on Amazon.
10. Cuisinart Griddler
This counter top griddler is so nice and convenient to have! You can use it to make paninis, grill burgers, make bacon and pancakes at the same time, or have two griddle plates for cooking.
We mostly use ours to grill burgers inside when we don’t feel like firing up the big grill outside.
It helps drain the grease, and cooks quick and easily!
Find this Cuisinart griddler on Amazon.
There you have it, friends! Those are my 10 favorite kitchen tools that make cooking and preparing meals so much easier, quicker, and more enjoyable.
Cooking at home is much easier when you have the right tools!
I wanted to also share two things I love to use in the kitchen that aren’t really tools, but that I really enjoy!
Two more fun things! 🙂
1. Bowl cozies
First, these bowl cozies are amazing for hot soup bowls or cold ice cream bowls!
I bought ours at a craft fair, and my husband thought they were silly at first, but now we are obsessed! You can use them in the microwave to heat soup, so you can grab the bowl without burning your hand.
And for freezing ice cream bowls, they are so nice and cozy!
Here are some cute ones on Etsy!
2. Knitted Dish Cloths
I picked some of these up at a craft show, and LOVE them! They work so well, hold up much longer than regular dish cloths, and make washing dishes a little more enjoyable.
