What a fun bridal shower!! We hosted a Monograms and Mimosas Bridal Shower for my beautiful cousin and it was so sweet and fun! I loved this theme and all of the girly details!
I had so much fun crafting decorations, making the invites, and planning the games. The other hosts made some delicious food and desserts, and getting all the ingredients for the Mimosa Bar! Yum!
A Monograms and Mimosas Bridal Shower
Invitations
I made the invites using a floral template from Vistaprint (they have great coupon codes!) and planned the decorations around the invite.
Food
The food was so delicious! It was light and perfect for a girly bridal shower! We served:
- Chicken Salad on Croissants
- Tortellini Pasta Salad
- Fruit Tray
Desserts
The desserts were oh so yummy!! I made the little sign that says “Sweet Wishes for the Soon To Be Mrs.” from a upcycled, spray-painted picture frame and scrapbook paper. For dessert, we served:
- Monogram Petit Fours
- Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball with cookies
- Lemon Scones with Lemon Curd Sauce
Mimosa Bar
The Mimosa Bar was a huge hit! We set the bar up outdoors where the party was at, so guests could refill easily.
I made the Mimosa Bar banner out of floral scrapbook paper, twine, and my Cricut‘s awesome writing feature (I have the worst handwriting!).
We served orange, pomegranate, and grapefruit juice with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, orange slices, and mint leaves for garnish.
The Mimosa Bar sign explained to pour some bubbly, add some juice, and top with fruit. We also had the bride’s mimosa glass monogrammed.
We also served strawberry lemonade with fresh fruit.
And mini water bottles were served on ice in a monogrammed drink bucket that doubled as a gift for the bride.
Other Décor
My mom is the BEST at arranging flowers! We monogramed a flower vase for the bride to keep and added fresh flowers to match the theme throughout the party area.
A simple monogram on scrapbook paper in a frame made a cute accent to the gift table.
I made a simple tassel garland banner of out tissue paper. It looked so cute and girly at the food table!
The paper plates and trays were found at craft stores and looked so cute and fun on the white tablecloth.
Games
I love non-cheesy bridal shower games! They give guests something to do and talk about, and helps avoid those awkward silence moments.
One of my favorite games to play is Who Am I?
This game is so simple to play! All you need is paper and pen. You will create a sign like the one below with instructions for the guests, and slips of paper for them to write on. The guests will write their favorite memory with the bride and their name on a piece of paper, fold it, and put in a bowl or basket. As the host, you will read these aloud to the guests and bride for the bride to try to guess who the memory was with.
This game is so fun because people will write down hilarious and really sweet memories! Guests love to hear more about the bride, and also find out who is who. So it acts as an introduction as well! No cheesy ice breakers needed!
Another fun and super simple game is Bridal Shower Gift Bingo.
All you need for this is a print out of a bingo sheet and pens. Before the bride opens gifts, guests will fill in each blank space with a gift they think she might open. If she opens the gift, they get to cross that item off. Whoever gets 5 in a row, yells BINGO! and gets a prize.
I love this game because guests have something to do while the bride opens gifts (instead of staring at her – great for shy brides!). Guests seem to chat a lot more with those around them and are eager to see what gift she will open next!
Favors
My mom makes super sweet gift soaps, and we thought those would be a perfect shower favor!
We had so much fun planning, hosting, and being a part of this Monograms and Mimosas Bridal Shower for my sweet cousin! We wish her the very best in her marriage!!! 🙂
Now, I need to find another excuse to have a Mimosa Bar!! 😉
