I’ll show you how to make these simple personalized Santa sacks step by step.
DIY Personalized Santa Sack – A Fun Christmas Gift for Kids
You only need a few supplies to make your own Christmas Santa sack, and you can complete this project in an hour or less.
Supplies Needed:
Cricut machine – I used my Cricut Explore and my Cricut Joy.
Directions:
1. Open Cricut Design Space and select New Project.
2. Add your text and resize it.
I used the font A Child’s Year for the black writing. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure for your text.
I used the font Agency Q for the red glitter writing for the name.
3. Cut out your text.
Make the selections in Cricut Design Space to turn the mirror on for an iron on image, select if you are using a mat or without a mat, and the material you are using.
Use the black iron on material glossy side down, and the red glitter iron on material glossy side down for the name. You can make these two separate projects and change out the material.
Then, press go and let your machine cut your designs.
4. Start a new project and add the reindeer.
I found the reindeer under the images tab in Cricut Design Space.
You could use any design you like to accent your writing.
5. Cut out the reindeer.
Make sure to turn the mirror on, and make your selections for material and mat.
Apply the gold glitter iron on material glossy side down on the cutting mat and press go.
6. Weed all of the designs.
Remove the excess material from your designs.
7. Iron your canvas laundry bag.
Use your heat press or an iron to remove wrinkles and heat up the canvas bag.
8. Apply your iron on designs.
Place your weeded iron on designs on the canvas bag. You can use a ruler or tape measure to keep everything straight.
9. Use the heat press to apply your designs.
Apply your iron on designs with a heat press machine. I used my heat press at 320 degrees for 30 seconds on each area.
Since this is a larger design, you will have to move the canvas bag around and press it several times.
10. Let cool and remove the glossy material.
Let the bag cool for a few minutes and then remove the glossy material to reveal your finished iron on design.
You can make any designs you like, and with whatever words, fonts, images, or designs you want! Have fun with this project and make your own Santa sacks for a little extra Christmas magic!
These personalized Santa sacks are perfect for filling up for Christmas morning and placing under the tree or by the fireplace.
