Hey, I’m Amanda!
I’m here to help you live a more frugal life and build successful habits like meal planning and eating at home, so you can save more money and spend more quality time at home with your family.
I’m a big believer that you can win with money when you take small, but consistent steps like planning and eating meals at home, finding ways to cut expenses, and learning to manage your money well.
I love living a frugal lifestyle so I can save money for the things I really want.
When we got married, we knew we wanted to work hard to pay our house off early and become debt free. We weren’t sure how we were going to make that happen, but we had big big goals and determination. We learned everything by trial and error, and by making baby steps to reach our big goals. That hard work and determination paid off when we became debt free 5 years later!
I’m a big believer that financial freedom is reached by small, but consistent steps like planning and eating meals at home, finding ways to cut expenses, and learning to manage your money well.
About Me
I started working at the age of 15, bagging groceries, and saving as much money as I could… and then proceeding to blow it all my freshman year of college. That didn’t last long, I hated not having a savings account!
I got a job again at the grocery store and saved all that I could. I was budgeting my way through college – trying to pay my car off as fast as I could, paying back student loans, budgeting for gas, groceries, sorority dues, and a little bit of fast food. I was a super cool kid, let me tell you! 😉
Learning to save money early in life has been so beneficial.
When I got engaged to my high school sweetheart, I made a goal to pay off my car and student loans before we got married. I didn’t want to go into our marriage with debt. I was so glad to reach those goals and enter our marriage debt free!
We bought a fixer upper house, and spent a whole year getting it ready to live in. Once we got married and moved in, we were ready to get rid of that debt too. We made a plan to pay off our mortgage as fast as we could.
And I’m so proud to say we paid the house off in just under 5 years! We are mortgage free!

It’s amazing how much freedom comes with being debt free. I was able to quit my full time job and stay home, working for myself. I love writing this blog and being creative in my craft business.
We love living in the country and working on our property. We have a mini farm with goats, a pig, and a few dogs. We love the simple lifestyle we have created and living a simple, frugal life.
We love to be outdoors, work on projects around the house, and enjoy our life in the country. I simply love the peace and quiet we have found in our little home sweet home!
I want to help as many people as I can to become financially successful and reach their big money goals, so you can live the type of lifestyle you want.
So, I’m here to help you save money, live a frugal life you love, and become financially successful!
