Tackle one room a month
We have a small home, so I only had 8 rooms to work through. I have planned to declutter and organize one room a month to make this huge project super doable and not overwhelming.
You can work on just one room a month, or two small rooms.
Don’t try to declutter your whole house in one week or month, because I think you are going to get discouraged and make a huge mess.

Work on one small project a day
Plan to declutter one tiny part of each room a day.
For example, when I decluttered the kitchen, I broke it down into each drawer and cabinet. Not so overwhelming to organize just one drawer, right?
When you make your plan for the day, plan to organize one super small area of the room you are working on. Related Post: 15 Amazing Kitchen Organization Ideas

Use a timer
To get this done as quick and painless as possible, determine how much time you will spend on each daily project. Schedule a time in the day to work on it, and set a timer to get the work done.
This way, you will be racing the clock so you have to act quick. You may get rid of more things this way!
Setting a timer also helps me to get the job done, knowing I only have to work on this for 10 or 20 minutes, then I can do something else.

Buy cheap bins from Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree is my absolute favorite place to get cheap organization bins. They have mostly plastic options, so these are great for hidden spots if they don’t fit with your decor.
You can organize almost any drawer, cabinet, closet, or nook with Dollar Tree bins.

Set up a donation bin
A donation bin or box in your garage is a great way to get all of those items out of the house that need to be donated. Get them out of the house and into the bin.
Only rule: Once they are in the bin, they can’t come back out! You can easily grab this bin and head to your local donation center every few months.
