1. Cricut Machine
There is no way around this one.
If you want to make all the amazing crafts you see on Pinterest, you are going to need a Cricut machine.
I use my Cricut machine several times a week. Let’s be honest here… if I had no other responsibilities, I could make Cricut crafts all day long. I got the Cricut Explore as a Christmas gift and love it!
A Cricut machine is perfect if you want to make crafts to sell, and you should be able to make your money back pretty quick!
You can make all kinds of crafts like vinyl decals, handmade cards, iron on images for tote bags, party invitations, wedding décor, and so much more.
I love this Cricut Explore Bundle. It comes with a few extras to help you get started. You will seriously be amazed at all the things you can do with a Cricut.
2. Assorted Vinyl Sheets
You can jump right in with you Cricut machine with assorted vinyl sheets.
I love this set of all different colors. You can make vinyl decals for Yeti cups, teacher gifts, car decals, and more.
Getting an assorted pack is a better value in the beginning, instead of buying a whole roll of each color.
3. Paper Cutter
You don’t need a fancy one, but something simple that will help you measure and cut straight lines.
You’ll wonder how you ever cut anything before having a paper cutter!
I have had a Fiskars one for many years and love it! There are a ton of options, but this one is most similar to what I have and love.
4. Hot Glue Gun
You need a full size, powerful hot glue gun that means business.
Skip getting the mini one, and go with a full size one like this Cobiz heavy duty glue gun. You’ll be amazed how often you use this!
5. Assorted Scrapbook Paper
Scrapbook paper can be used for so many projects, like handmade invitations, party décor, thank you notes, or banners.
I love getting big packs of scrapbook paper to have on hand for all my craft projects.
6. Cricut Pen Set
I love the Cricut pens and have almost every color!
These are perfect for using in you Cricut machine to write out invitations, party décor, or really anything!
It’s mesmerizing to watch the Cricut write, especially if you don’t have the best handwriting like me. This ultimate set would be a nice gift!
7. Transfer Paper
If you’re going to be working with vinyl, you have to have some transfer paper.
This is how you actually apply the vinyl to different items.
Transfer paper is one of those things I never realize I’m out of until I’m in the middle of a project! This is a good choice with the grids so you can align your vinyl.
8. Paint Brush Set
You will want a paint brush set with a variety of brushes, like fine tips, foam brushes, and everything in between.
I love this set and it’s a great price! I’m not great about washing my brushes out, so I haven’t invested in a super nice set and honestly, see no need to at this point
9. Washi Tape
Washi tape comes in so many colors, and it is so fun to use to dress up party invites, notecards, your planner, and so much more.
10. Heat Press
If you want to make iron on shirts or bags, a heat press is a must have!
They are super easy to use, and work so much better than just an iron.
I’ve found my iron on images hold up a whole lot better when I use a heat press. This is the one I have and love!
These are my favorite crafting tools, and the top 10 tools I would recommend for any beginner crafter.
There are endless projects and crafts you can make with the items listed above.
You might even find the perfect craft to make and sell for a nice side income!
If you are looking for a gift for a crafty person, any of these items would make a great gift.
I’ve received several of these items as gifts, and they are some of my favorite gifts ever!
