Do you struggle keeping your house clean? Or do you have a difficult time finding time to actually clean?
I dread cleaning and hate when I put it off so long that I need to spend a whole day cleaning. THE WORST!
Instead, I’m trying to do a quick cleaning more often. Cleaning more often helps me stay on top of everything and not let the house get too dirty.

Quick Cleaning Checklist
Living Room
I like to start in the common areas, just in case someone happens to drop by for a visit. At least the most used and most seen rooms will be clean! You can always shut the other doors. 😉
- Pickup clutter and place in a basket (a laundry basket would be perfect)
- Quickly dust surfaces with a dusting cloth
- Sweep or vacuum the floor and rugs
- Fold blankets and put away
Take your basket to the next room!
Kitchen
- Pick up all dirty dishes and place in the sink and dishwasher.
- Hand wash any pots, pans, and dishes that don’t go in the dishwasher.
- Run the dishwasher (if full)
- Wipe countertops with cleaner and a rag
- Take the trash out.
- Sweep or vacuum the floor and rugs
- Place anything that doesn’t belong in the kitchen in the basket.

Bedrooms
To make this easier on you, give everyone the bedroom checklist to complete for their own room.
- Pick up clothes
- Sort laundry and take to laundry room
- Start load of laundry
- Make bed and change sheets if needed
- Vacuum
- Put away items from the basket that belong in the bedroom

Bathrooms
- Take out trash
- Wipe countertops and sinks with cleaner and rag
- Refresh hand towel
- Pick up dirty towels and take to laundry room
- Clean toilet and wipe seat clean
- Spray cleaner in shower and rinse
- Sweep and vacuum the floor and rugs
- Put away items from the basket that belong in the bathroom
Other Areas
- Take your basket around and put away items where they belong
- Take all trash out
- Aim to do 1 or 2 loads of laundry a day so it doesn’t pile up
Use the Other space on your checklist to write in other areas that need to be included for your home.
