I think it would be so fun to have a snack and games night and just relax and have fun. If your family loves takeout, plan one night a week for it. Knowing you are going to eat out ahead of time will help you budget for it, and make sure you aren’t ordering out every night.
Meal Plan Theme Nights Ideas:
- Sunday: Crockpot: Chili, Roast, Soup, BBQ
- Monday: Italian Night: Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna,
- Tuesday: Mexican Night: Tacos, quesadillas, burritos, taco salads, burrito bowls
- Wednesday: Soup + Sandwich/Salad: Grilled sandwiches or paninis
- Thursday: Instant Pot or Sheet Pan Dinner
- Friday: Pizza Night: homemade or takeout
- Saturday: Grill something: burgers, BBQ chicken, chicken kabobs, pork chops, steaks
There are so many meal ideas for each category! You can easily make a meal plan with themed nights and not have the same meal twice in a month.
You can also try making freezer meals, so you don’t have to cook a full meal every night! Try spaghetti sauce, chili, crockpot BBQ, lasagna, pizza dough, burger patties, or soups.
Have fun with theme nights!
- Play Opera or Italian music on Italian night.
- Grab a cheap sombrero and play Spanish music for Mexican night.
- Plan to eat in the living room while watching a movie on pizza night.
