Are you looking for ways to save on beauty products? In this post, I’m sharing my favorite ways to save on my favorite beauty products.
Beauty products can get expensive so fast, but I don’t want to sacrifice feeling good about myself.
I’ve found a few ways to save on beauty products, so I can still take care of myself, feel good, and save money.
13 Ways to Save on Beauty Products
Use these ways to save on beauty products to buy your favorite personal care items, and still stay in budget.
You don’t have to give up feeling and looking good to save some money.
While I don’t use many expensive or high end beauty products, I am able to afford my favorite drugstore beauty products with these tips.
Ways to Save on Beauty Products:
1. Use coupons
If you get the newspaper, look for coupons for beauty products you use or would like to try. I always find plenty of these coupons – way more than for food!
If you don’t subscribe to the newspaper, you can get coupons online. Check sites like coupons.com, moneysavingmom.com, and passionatepennypincher.com
2. Match coupons and sales
Look in sale ads for drugstores and grocery stores for sales on beauty products. Match your coupons to the sales to save the most money.
Some sale ads even include a small icon showing there is a coupon in the paper for the product on sale.
3. Shop sales
Try to only buy beauty products when they are on sale. Drugstores usually rotate different beauty brands on sale each week.
Check what is on sale this week, and buy what you need that is on sale. Save the rest of your list for when you find sales.
4. Check a few stores
You may need to shop a few stores to get the best deals and save the most money.
Check the sales for a few stores, and try to shop a couple nearby stores to get the best deals.
5. Shop CVS or Walgreens and use reward programs
CVS and Walgreens are the drugstores that I find the best deals at. They have great reward programs, where you can get points or cash back to use at their store.
Look in the sales ad for the reward deals for the week. Try to match up your coupons and the sales with reward offers.
Moneysavingmom.com and passionatepennypincher.com have great coupon matchup posts!
6. Check the clearance rack
Our grocery store has a small clearance section, and there is often makeup and other beauty supplies there. Check this area for deals on products you use or would like to try.
You can also ask if there is a clearance section in other stores you shop at.
7. Use Rakuten to get cash back
If you buy beauty products online, be sure to use Rakuten (formerly Ebates) to get cash back on your purchases.
Tip: Install the browser extension that alerts you when you are on a page that offers cash back, so you don’t even have to think about it!
You can sign up for Rakuten here for free.
8. Use the Ibotta app
I also love to use the free Ibotta app to get cash back when I shop for beauty products.
It’s so easy to use and you can earn PayPal cash or free gift cards for using the app when you shop.
Sign up for Ibotta for free here and get $5 when you upload your first receipt!
9. Use Fetch Rewards
Another free app I’ve been using is the Fetch Rewards app. You just scan your receipts and you get points that can be redeemed for free gift cards.
I love this app and it is so easy to use!
You can sign up for Fetch Rewards here and use code: 33UY1 to get 2000 free points to get started.
10. Learn the best drugstore brands
Follow beauty bloggers or people on YouTube to learn the best drugstore makeup and beauty products.
Watch videos and read reviews of products before you spend your money.
Check for videos or posts for the best affordable beauty products and drugstore brands.
11. Buy the larger option for better value
If there are 2 size options, compare the cost and see which size is a better deal.
Most of the time, the bulk or larger size is a better value, but not always.
If it’s something you use often, get the larger size for the best value.
12. Stick to your list
It’s easy to get sidetracked and end up buying all kinds of new makeup and beauty supplies when you go to that section of stores.
Make a list of what you need and stick to it when you go to the store.
13. Buy store brand of basics
For things like cotton balls, makeup sponges, or other basic items, give the store brand a try. These options are often much cheaper for almost the same product.
Use these ways to save on beauty products to enjoy taking care of yourself and save some money.
You can also do things like painting your own nails, finding an affordable place to get your hair cut, and looking for deals on beauty services to save money on your beauty maintenance.
