For this monthly money saving challenge, you will save $500 a month.
You can do this a number of ways.
1. Set up an auto transfer
You can set up an auto transfer to your savings account weekly, biweekly, or monthly to save the $500 a month.
This is a great way to save without really thinking about it. You won’t see the money in your account, so you won’t be tempted to spend it or not save it.
You can usually set these up on your online banking account.
2. Save $125 a week
If you get paid weekly, or tend to budget on a weekly basis, you can set a goal to save $125 a week.
You could transfer $125 to your savings account on pay day, or another set day of the week.
Write this action down in your planner or set a reminder on your phone so you don’t forget.
3. Save $250 every 2 weeks
If you get paid biweekly, you can save $250 every 2 weeks to reach your goal.
Transfer this on pay day, schedule it in your planner, or set a reminder on your phone so you don’t forget.
You can use the small line on the printable to keep up with the weekly savings.
4. Save $500 a month
If you have irregular income, get paid once a month, or like to budget on a monthly basis, you can aim to save $500 once a month.
Like the other options, you can schedule this in your planner, schedule an auto transfer, or use your phone to remind you.
Use the check box on the printable to mark the month completed once you save $500.
