Making breakfast freezer meals is a great place to start with freezer cooking.
If you are tempted to swing by a drive thru, or grab something from a vending machine, try making some breakfast freezer meals to give you a heartier breakfast for a lot less money.
Here’s 3 breakfast freezer meals to get you started:
1. Banana Bread
Banana bread freezes really well, and can be made with few ingredients and in bulk.
I love to use the Dollar Tree foil loaf pans to make this easy to freeze and store.
When bananas get too ripe to eat fresh, peel them and stick them in a freezer bag in your freezer to make banana bread.
Here are two recipes I have tried and love:
One Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
I will make several batches of the recipe, fill my foil loaf pans, place them on a baking sheet, and bake them all at once.
After they cool, you can wrap them in aluminium foil or place them in a freezer bag, and store them in the freezer.
When you need a quick breakfast, thaw a banana bread loaf on the counter. I like to make small slices and enjoy mine with some fruit, sausage links, or bacon.
2. Muffins
You can make any kind of muffins and freeze them in freezer bags portioned for just you, or your whole family.
I love to use these reusable silicone cups so I don’t have to buy baking cups.
Pick up a boxed mix, or make your own muffin mix.
Just thaw these and enjoy! Perfect for taking in the car with you or a super quick breakfast.
3. Breakfast Sandwiches & Burritos
If you need a heartier breakfast, you can make these sandwiches and burritos and freeze them to heat up for breakfast later.
These are so yummy, very filling, and great for busy mornings when you need a good breakfast and don’t have time to cook.
I used to make these a lot when I worked at an office. I would just grab one, heat it in the microwave and eat it on the way to work or heat it up in the kitchen at work.

Dinner (or supper) can be the most expensive meal of the day, and sometimes the most stressful.
If you are just getting off work from a long day, you may not feel like cooking a full meal and spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
It can be very tempting to eat out, grab a pizza, get takeout, or go through the drive thru.
But, if you know you have a freezer meal ready to heat and serve at home, you can avoid all those temptations. You’ll know exactly what’s for dinner and how easy and quick it will be.
