Is it just me or is the bathroom one of the hardest places to organize?
I guess it’s one of the most used rooms in a house, and we’re usually in a hurry getting ready there.
We’ve adopted a few small ways to get organized in our small bathroom that help us stay organized.
11 Bathroom Organization Tips for Busy People
-
Get rid of the junk.
First things first, get rid of the junk. Take everything out of your cabinets and drawers. Get rid of anything you never use, won’t use, and just don’t need.
-
Group like things together.
Put all of your nail polish together. Group hair items together. Make a pile of cleaning supplies. This will let you see how much room you need for everything.
-
Use baskets.
Baskets give everything a home, and keep items from getting lost in drawers and cabinets.
-
Use the appropriate size basket.
Grab cheap baskets from Dollar Tree. They get the job done, so why spend more than $1?
Looking at your grouped piles, choose the appropriate size basket for each category of things.
-
Label your baskets.
Grab the dry erase baskets from Dollar Tree or make vinyl decals using your Cricut. Labeling your baskets may seem unnecessary, but it will definitely help you stay organized. And make sure your family can clearly see where things go.
-
Place your baskets in your drawers and cabinets.
For things you don’t use as often, place those baskets towards the back or bottom. Keep items you use regularly in an easy to reach area.
-
Consider open shelves.
If you feel like you don’t have enough room, consider adding shelves to a wall in your bathroom. Adding items in cute baskets like toilet paper, q-tips, cotton balls, or soap can serve as practical bathroom decor.
-
Room for a cabinet?
Do you have any extra room for a small wall or stand up cabinet? You might find a piece to refinish at a yard sale, or possibly even custom build one. Use a cabinet for extra towel and linen storage.
-
Add a hamper.
If clothes and towels on the floor are a problem, add a small hamper to throw laundry in. It’s better than on the floor!
-
Add a hook on your door.
Another way to clean up bath towel clutter, is to add a hook (or two) to the back of your door.
-
Give everyone their own section.
Everyone can have a small section or basket for their things, and they are responsible for keeping them clean and clutter free.
Use these 11 tips to get your bathroom organized quickly. Getting organized will help you keep your home clean and clutter free.
Go through once a month to straighten up, and you should be able to easily stay organized.

Thanks for these fabulous tips. Actually, I am a busy mom with 2 kids. Guess what is the condition of my bathroom? It’s being always messy as that is the play station of my kids. I already bought a door lock to keep my bathroom safe from my kids.
