Are you checking these 4 things before you make a purchase? If not, you’re spending more money than you should!
4 Things To Check Before You Make a Purchase
When you shop online, do you check for coupon codes before you hit “Place Order”? If not, you could be throwing money away! There is almost always a coupon out there, you just have to look for it! RetailMeNot makes it super easy. You can just go to their website, type the retailer name you are shopping at, and search for coupon codes.
You can also download their app or check their website when you are out and about for coupons to use in store.
Retailmenot also has a cash back program with some great offers!

Extra Tip:
Another place to check for coupon codes is on the actual retailer’s website. Look for a “Deals” tab, a small banner at the top, or a pop up. I have found a pop up usually pops up with a coupon code when you first visit a page, and may not be available again. Jot that coupon code down! They may ask for your email address, and send you a coupon through email.
2. Groupon
I don’t know how many times I have bought something, and then shortly after realized there was a Groupon for it!
If you don’t know what Groupon is, go here to check it out. They sell vouchers for items at great discounts, then you use your voucher to redeem a product or service through the actual retailer. They have Groupons for local restaurants, travel, great gift ideas, hotels, and many local experiences.
Using a Groupon is a great way to check out new restaurants and shops in your area without breaking your budget. If you are travelling, be sure to check out Groupons in that area for local restaurants, hotels, and attractions.
I have purchased gifts from here, local restaurant deals, and vacation attractions!

3. EBates
EBates is a really cool website that you can shop through to earn cash back. You just visit their website first, then shop with the different retailers they partner with. You will see how much cash back you can get from each retailer. Then, they send you a check when you reach $5! EBates also has a lot of special deals, like 15% cash back at over 400 stores (at the time of writing this).
Hint: You can shop through Ebates to get Groupon deals = HUGE SAVINGS!

4. Ibotta
Ibotta is a super easy to use app that gives cash back on everyday purchases like groceries, beauty products, and more. You just scroll through and select any offers you are going to buy anyway, then upload your receipt (just snap a pic), and you’ll receive cash back.
You can also shop through Ibotta for clothing, restaurants, and travel. Similar to Ebates, you would click from Ibotta to hotels.com and be credited the cash back on the Ibotta app.
You can get paid through Paypal, Venmo, or get a great gift card! The gift cards are great for saving for Christmas or birthday gifts! They have tons to choose from.
